This cannon was likely a French 75 the American Legion put in the City Park post WW I, around 1919 - 1921.  It was located in the SW corner of the park near the intersection of N. Washington and E. Park St.

It was hauled away sometime in 1944 as part of the WW II scrap drives for steel and iron.
